This morning we travel North, stopping for a short break at the Angel of the North, a huge landmark of the North-east and a great photo op! Then, onto Newcastle-upon-Tyne where we enjoy the day at leisure. You can obtain lunch at any of the fine cafes and tearooms dotted across the historic city.

Perhaps visit the Great North Museum, the Life Centre or Northumberland Street and its many shops. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, you could walk down to the Quayside and see the famous Tyne and Millennium bridges.
